Throwback Thursday - my "Pop up Cupcake Shop" from a few years ago

I offer no apologies for sharing these photos, they are shamelessly fat & sugar filled and artificial colour laden, but were absolutely delicious.

Some time ago, when I had a small catering business (with no shop front) and my sister had a small sandwich shop, I utilised her space at the weekends with a "Pop up Cupcake Shop" when she was closed for business. It was a great way for me to get great exposure for my goodies - I actually picked up some extra business in catering jobs and I just LOVED making these little cakes.



Shop local and try to use seasonal ingredients - they will be freshest and most economical



Buy the best you can afford - even if it means making do with less.



Keep it simple - and as unprocessed as possible.  Butter and E.V. Olive Oil over margarine, spreads and processed vegetable oils,
